Google Newsletter for Librarians

Did you know that Google has created a newsletter specifically for librarians? According to the February School Library Journal more than 10,000 people have registered to receive the newsletter.

The premiere issue from December 2005 focuses on how Google’s index works and how results are ranked. It even includes ideas for teaching students to better use Google. The January 2006 newsletter offers a five point plan for evaluating information, written by Karen G. Schneider, Director of Librarian’s Index to the Internet and author of the blog Free Range Librarian.
